Products & Services

T & L Insulation (1991) Ltd. offers a wide variety of products and services to meet the needs of all our customers. We are insulation specialists who customize our services for each customer. Customers can choose one or a combination of various insulation types to give them the best solution to insulate their homes or buildings.

Service and Products Include:

Blown Attic Insulation

  • is a fibrous loose-fill thermal/acoustical type of insulation made from selected recycled paper stock blended with appropriate additives to provide resistance to fire, fungi, corrosion and pests.
  • is designed to be pneumatically placed using a blowing machine and delivery hose.
  • As a loose-fill, is ideal for horizontal or moderately sloped attic spaces up to 4½:12 in pitch. This product is also pneumatically dry-injected to fill enclosed spaces such as the cavities of flat or sloped ceilings, vertical walls and floors.
  • is used in both new construction and retrofit applications.
  • displays Environment Canada's "EcoLogo" (Environmental Choice Program), classifying it as an "environmentally friendly" or "green" building product.
  • high density dramatically reduces air leakage, controlling air and moisture infiltration.
  • organic fibres are far less susceptible to convective and radiative heat loss and therefore perform better in keeping you both warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
  • thermal resistance, acoustical value, fire resistance or any other characteristics are permanent features of the product. These WeathershieldTM benefits will not change with the passage of time.

Blown Wall Insulation

  • is a loose-fill type of insulation made from fiberized paper.
  • is designed to be pneumatically injected into the open face of exterior or partition wall cavities. Installed dry will form a cohesive matt time as the natural migration of moisture (in and out of the wall cavity) activates the internal adhesive. The end result is a custom-fitted, cohesive batt of insulation that provides both high R-Value and resistance to air-leakage.
  • Each bag of WallBARTM displays Environment Canada's "Ecologo", classifying it as an "Environmentally Friendly" product.
  • WallBARTM is a thermal or acoustical insulation which may be injected behind a netting, spray-applied or simply installed as a loose-fill. Injection behind netting (WallNET) permits great versatility of use such as in most types of framed wall construction or over head joist spaces and vaulted ceilings. By adding wood strapping the WallBARTM net system may also be used to advantage on a broad range of steel buildings.
  • Because the higher density and perfect fit of WallBARTM it dramatically reduces air leakage and air convection. Its P-Value is substantially better than glass fibre batt or loose-fill materials having a similar R-Value.
  • In addition, WallBARTM basic R-Value remains more consistent than that of mineral fibre throughout a wide range of ambient which makes it a superior insulation for reducing summer heat gain.
  • The cohesive properties of properly installed WallBARTM produce a stable mass of material that will not shift or settle under normal conditions of use. High thermal resistance and noise absorption properties (as well as fire retardancy) are also permanent.

Polyurethane Spray Foam Insulation

  • Purple, closed cell, medium density, spray applied polyurethane foam insulation and air barrier.
  • Intended for residential, commercial, industrial and institutional building applications where insulation is required. It can be used above or below grade, for interior or exterior building envelope applications including; exterior, cavity and foundation walls, between steel or wood framing, under floor slabs, in cantilevered areas and in specialized applications.
  • Superior Thermal Resistance - The LTTR value of WALLTITE ECO is higher than traditional insulation products resulting in reduced conductive heat loss and lower energy consumption.
  • Excellent Air Sealing Ability - WALLTITE ECO  is a closed cell insulation that expands while being installed creating an effective air barrier, reducing air leakage, resulting in improved comfort and energy savings.
  • Quality Installation - Licensing of installers is required by the CAN/ULC S705.2-05 Installation Standard, and WALLTITE ECO is installed by applicators who are licensed through BASF Canada's Quality Assurance and Training Program - RAISING PERFORMANCE TO NEW HEIGHTS® (QATP) and certified by the engineering firm Morrison Hershfield.
  • Durability - WALLTITE ECO  can be installed and left without any cladding for up to 6 months.
  • Experience - With over 25 years experience in spray polyurethane foam insulation, BASF Canada is well equipped to understand the challenges of the Canadian climate. Consumers can rest assured that they are working with the leading sprayfoam manufacturer in both residential and commercial construction.

Fibreglass Batt & Roxul Batt Insulation

One common option for wall insulation in new residential buildings is fiberglass batt or roxul batt insulation. Our expert installers will provide excellent installation of either type as required by the customer.

Poly & Caulking

Our expert installers will install poly and caulking as specified in the building code and as required by building inspectors.

K-13 InsulationTM

  • K-13 is the spray-applied insulation tailored to your specific project requirements for insulation (R-value), noise reduction (NRC), color, durability, condensation control, texture, and aesthetics. In addition, it usually provides these features at lower installed prices than many common systems such as rigid board and batt insulations, sprayed plasters, and acoustical ceilings.
  • It is applied to virtually any properly prepared surface configuration of wood, steel, concrete, glass and other common construction surfaces. K-13 can be sprayed up to four inches thick overhead in one application without mechanical support. Additionally, K-13 serves as the exposed finish requiring no additional materials.
  • With its carpet-like texture and wide variety of colors, K-13 is especially attractive as a surface finish in new construction as well as renovation projects. Available in six standard colors, K- 13 can also be specified in specially matched custom colors.

HiBARTM Spray-Applied Fire-Resistive Material

  • HiBARTM spray applied semi cementitious mineral fibre insulation, for fire rating structural steel.
  • It also has thermal and acoustical properties.
  • It can be spray applied over rigid structural substrates and exterior or partition walls. It provides acoustical treatment for ceilings and walls in noisy production areas or large rooms such as gymnasiums or swimming pools where both sound absorption and aesthetic enhancement is desired. Condensation control is also provided on exposed structural components that are in contact with cold exterior surfaces.
  • Spray-applied fireproofing for use over rigid structural substrates such as open web steel joists, beams, columns, floor/ceiling assemblies and exterior or partition wall units.
  • Thermal insulation for prefabricated metal buildings, corrugated metal roof assemblies, underside of concrete slabs and masonry or metal wall assemblies.
  • Spray-applied treatment to provide condensation control on exposed structural components that are in contact with cold exterior surfaces.
